Today I am going to share a backpacking recipe for oatmeal that can be a VERY hearty meal for 1 or a standard breakfast for up to 3 people! Personally this will be used for 3 people. I have added a picture of the nutrition information for a full recipe. 🙂
The recipe below will provide 985 calorie, 42 g protein, 92 g carbohydrate (20g fiber), 51 g fat, 1 mg sodium:
- 1.5 cups oatmeal
- 6 Tbsp Raw and Shelled Hemp Seeds
- 1/4 cup sliced or slivered almonds
- 2 tsp cinnamon
The whole recipe weighs 259 grams or 9 1/8 oz.
This is my own creation based on personal preferences. Due to having a milk intolerance there is no dehydrated milk in this recipe. We will be bringing evaporated milk and honey on the side for added flavor and calories for the bae as he is lucky and can eat anything!
