Let’s start off with the back story… we had a lovely intern at the hospital and she would bring granola for us to snack on – and boy did we love her for it, so delicious and nutritious!! Snacks are a must, no one likes a H-ANGRY dietitian 😉.
So what better way to count down [2 weeks and counting] to my weekend getaway…. than a pumpkin inspired granola! I love all that the Fall season has to offer, nothing is more delicious than the Fall Harvest. I tried to incorporate some fall flavors. Naturally, this granola recipe is not simple. I usually try to keep my recipes simple, but granolas are medleys after all.
Without getting into specifics, the medley I used to create my new favorite granola:
- Gluten Free – Oats
- Organic Raw Shelled Hemp Seed
- Chia Seeds
- Brown Sugar
- Organic Maple Syrup
- Organic Vanilla Extract
- Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
- Pumpkin Puree
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Protein powder
Granola is easy, mix everything you want together and watch the magic unfold.
